The Running (B)log of

CPH

Twin Peaks Central

1:17:38, 10.8K. A variation of my Highwest classic, copied from Niggli with a few mods.  Not bad running today, weather cool with low humidity and legs felt very good.  Still not as fluid as I was before Christmas, but hopefully a foundation to build on for the training ahead. HighWest  summit- 29.20.

High West Short

1:09:13, 8.5K. Easy pace, but fitness sucks as even found this difficult, must be one of my slowest ascents on High West.  Just gotta get on with it anyway as will only improve by getting out there, but not as easy as it used to be these days!  High West summit 32:45,

Victoria is a bitch!

1:15:47, 10.5K. Great cool weather for this challenging trail, easy on the flats and steady on the hills.  Screwed up the finish and headed down to Kennedy town, so I suppose that will be the new course for this route.  Still descending shiggy like a wimp, High West over a minute slower than before.  HR 134/156. Victoria is a bitch!

1:17:10, 10K. Hill running at a steady pace, easy on the flats.  Not bad as foirst attempt at such brutal climbing for a few years! Took easy on ascent to High West and even easier descending as I’ve become totally over cautious these days- will have to run that out of the system before KOTH.  HR 136/154.  Activity/17491175

Splits:  Chatham Path 10.22, Barker road 19.52, Peak Station 30.23, Victoria Peak 41.32, Lugard Road 50.12, High West 58.02 (7.50), Harlech Road 1;04.36 (6.35)
